After careful research and hours spent reading other reviews we are so thankful that we purchased two Britax Frontier 85 SICT 5 point harness booster seats! We had the seats approximately 8weeks and 5weeks when we were T-boned in an intersection in our home town. Our vehicle was totaled, but our little girls were both completely safe and in fact they said they never even moved at all! These car seats live up to EVERY claim they make for holding a child's head, neck, back and spine in alignment in the event of an accident! I was injured, but our girls had no physical (psycological, bad dreams etc...yes) injuries when admitted to the emergency room. Everyone thought we were crazy for spending $510 on two car seats...but we are living proof they are worth every penny and much, much more! My baby is growing up!
I love the britax brand--this will be my son's third Britax seat and with upper weight limit, it will be his last. I was really worried that it wouldn't fit in my older jetta but it took up no more room than my Britax diplomat. I broke a sweat installing it but that is worth it getting those latches tight enough. My son calls it his cool seat. He no longer throws his cup at me when he is finished because now he has a place to put it. I love how sturdy and safe it feels. I have a hard time imagining a preteen sitting in a high back booster, but we'll see. It is great for my three year old!
